Hilson strike enough for Forfar
Dale Hilson's 10th goal of the season was enough to see off high-flying Stranraer as Forfar won 1-0 to maintain their promotion push.
Forfar sit just three points adrift of the play-offs after Hilson's goal in the 15th minute gave his side the three points and condemned Stranraer to a third loss in a row.
Stranraer piled on the pressure and had chances to draw level but were undone by Hilson, who finished nicely into the bottom-right corner from the left of the area.
The away side were frustrated time and again by Forfar goalkeeper Rab Douglas, who made a string of saves to deny Andrew Stirling and Steven Bell, although he suffered a scare as he fumbled an effort from Sean Winter shortly after the goal but the away side were unable to grab an equaliser.
