Dumbarton 0-0 Forfar: Report

07 May 2011 20:19
Dumbarton held by Forfar Dumbarton shared the points with Forfar in a goalless draw. The hosts went into the game already safe after last weekend's draw with Livingston. They made the better start with Mark Gilhany and Andrew Geggan both going close. But Forfar slowly started to come back into the game and Mark Campbell's shot was kept out by home keeper Stephen Grindley with an effort. Forfar's Barry Sellars then tried a speculative effort from 35 yards but saw it well saved by Grindley. The best chance of the first half fell to Jon McShane as his 18-yard volley was tipped over by Neil Duffy. The second half saw Dumbarton push for a winner but Neil Duffy was in fine form in the Forfar goal, denying out Patrick Walker and Mark Gilhaney.
