Forest Green Rovers boss Colin Addison was delighted that his side kept their recent good run of form going with a 2-0 FA Trophy win at Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.
Addison felt that his team hadn't played well at Northolme, but was pleased that their confidence had not taken a knock at the hands of the UniBond Premier side as they strive to avoid slipping back into the Conference relegation battle.
"This win is an extension of our form," he told the Gloucester Citizen. "We've played with a high level of consistency over the last couple of months and that showed through.
"It wasn't one of our better performances, but it wasn't bad. We had to work hard against a very good Gainsborough side.
"We had to dig deep on occasions and defend resolutely - we did that and got a great result."
