Rovers turn to Robins for new boy

Forest Green Rovers have signed Bristol City's teenage defender Sekani Simpson on a one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old will fill the gap left by former Ashton Gate team-mate Darren Jones, who ended a loan spell with Rovers to join Newport County.

Simpson has yet to break into the first-team picture with the Robins, but boss Danny Wilson is content to see him gain experience at a lower level.

He told the club's official website: "It's a good opportunity for Sekani as Forest Green have some cracking games coming up over the next month.

"Conference football is a higher standard than the league our reserves play in, so I'm sure the experience will do him good."
