Forest Green Rovers have signed former Cheltenham Town and Kidderminster Harriers forward Hugh McAuley on non-contract forms.
The 26-year-old has previous Nationwide Conference experience from his time with Leek Town and also played a single game for Northwich Victoria earlier this season.
He has also has short stints with Burscough and Vauxhall Motors during the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Rovers chairman Ken Boulton says the club have had 14 applications for the manager's job at The Lawn.
He told the Gloucester Citizen: "We haven't advertised the job and we've had a whole range of people making enquiries.
"So far we have received 14 applications, one or two of which have got Conference experience and there have been a few eye-openers."
