Former Kidderminster Harriers and Cheltenham Town boss Graham Allner has been tipped as a leading candidate to take charge at Forest Green Rovers.
Allner has previous experience of Conference success, having taken Harriers to the title in 1994, although they were denied entry to the Football League.
Nationwide Conference strugglers Rovers have made Tim Harris caretaker manager following the exit of Colin Addison and have stated that they are in no rush to make a permanent appointment.
However, Allner was at Rovers' 0-0 draw with Telford United on New Year's Day, with former Northern Ireland defender Alan McDonald and ex-Bath City boss Paul Bodin also in attendance.
Rovers may also promote from within, with youth team manager Darren Perrin highly thought of at The Lawn.
