Forest Green boss Colin Addison praised impressive new signing Steve Brodie after the former Scarborough star helped to create both Neil Grayson's goals as Rovers came from behind to win 2-1 at Leigh RMI on Saturday.
Addison signed Brodie on a loan deal from Chester City last week and the player made an instant impression at Hilton Park as Rovers moved away from the Nationwide Conference relegation zone.
"Brodie is a very influential and experienced player who blended in with Grayson," Addison said after the match.
"He has not played competitively for a month, so he did well. He gave us many more options up front.
"It was our best performance of the season - we played well and created good situations.
"We have had some unlucky results, so it was nice to go to Leigh, which is always difficult, and get a result."
