Ancelotti is the wrong man for Chelsea
Shane Edwards
Carlo Ancelotti looks set to join Chelsea this summer, after terminating his contract with AC Milan.
Appointing Ancelotti will be a big step backwards for Chelsea. He would be joining Chelsea off the back of two disappointing seasons at Milan. The Italian has failed to lift a trophy in two years, and got knocked out of this year's Uefa Cup early to eventual finalists Werder Bremen.
Ancelotti has never moved outside of Italy as a player or a manager. Being a successful coach in Italy does not necessarily mean he can cut the mustard in the Premier League. Having a good CV does not guarentee success in England - just ask Phil Scolari!
He also doesn't speak any English, and that again could pose as a problem.
Losing Guus Hiddink is a massive blow. He has proven this season that he was perfectly suited to the role, with the added bonus of speaking perfect English.
