What will Thaksin expect of Hughes this season?

18 July 2008 - 20:31

Last season was classed as a success for Man City by most people but not their owner Thaksin Shinawatra who sacked Sven Goran Eriksson despite their best finish in recent years. Sven was in the process of building a strong squad and things were looking promising for the future but Shinawatra didnt want to have to wait for success so got rid of Sven.

Hes now been replaced by Mark Hughes who did a good job at Blackburn but again Shinawatra will probably want instant success. He's been given plenty of financial backing and backed to sign Ronaldinho so again Shinawatra will have high hopes this season.

So what will Mark Hughes have to do this season to keep his boss happy? Will he be given more time or will he be expected to immediately break into the top four?
