Fleetwood without key duo for game against Rochdale

Fleetwood will be without Conor McLaughlin and Declan McManus for Saturday's visit of Rochdale.

The pair are on international duty with Northern Ireland and Scotland respectively.

Manager Graham Alexander has a few other players carrying knocks and will leave it late to name his squad.

Defender Nathan Pond (ankle) is out for between four to six weeks while Eggert Jonsson may yet make the 18 after resuming training this week.

Rochdale are reporting no new injuries for the clash.

Manager Keith Hill last made a signing a week before the transfer deadline, with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing signing a one-year deal and he is expected to be in contention for a spot on Saturday.

Rochdale will look to continue the early momentum that has seen them move up to sixth in the table, having beaten Barnsley 3-0 in their last league fixture.

They will also expect to be extra fresh given a lack of action in the Capital One Cup - they were given a bye for the round of fixtures that took place last Tuesday.
