Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander has no fresh injury or suspension problems ahead of the clash with league-leaders Oxford.

Alexander could choose to shuffle his pack after slumping to defeat against strugglers Accrington on Tuesday night.

On-loan Huddersfield forward Daniel Carr is in contention to make his debut for the club, while fellow striker Jon Parkin could return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench in midweek.

Long-term absentees Jamille Matt (ankle) and David Ball (shoulder) remain out with their respective injuries.

Oxford have suffered an injury blow in the build up to their trip.

The U's found out this week that Andy Whing will be missing until February having visited a specialist for advice on his torn groin muscle.

Alfie Potter and Jon Meades will both be missing for a similar amount of time while Sean Rigg is sidelined for a fortnight with his hamstring injury.

Josh Ruffels made first league start in the 0-0 draw with Newport on Tuesday in Rigg's absence and he will hope to keep his place as manager Chris Wilder continues to look to the club's youngsters to replace his injured stars - six of the seven-man bench on Tuesday came from their development squad.
