Fleetwood boss Steven Pressley eyes positive injury news ahead of Oldham clash

Fleetwood boss Steven Pressley will hope to have some players back in contention for the visit of relegation rivals Oldham.

Shola Ameobi has missed the last four matches with a hamstring injury but the former Newcastle forward remains a doubt ahead of Saturday.

Joe Davis (ankle), Bob Harris (toe) and Danny Andrew (knee) have also been unavailable recently.

Teenage striker David Henen, on loan from Everton, has returned to his parent club but Sheffield United midfielder Stefan Scougall has extended his loan stay at Highbury until the end of the season.

Oldham, two points above the drop zone and a point ahead of their opponents, have an injury crisis ahead of the trip.

Several players are nursing knocks following the midweek defeat against Barnsley and will have to be assessed.

Carl Winchester (knee) was forced off in the first half at Oakwell and replaced by Brian Wilson, who himself then had to be withdrawn with a head injury just 15 minutes later and spent the night in hospital.

Mike Jones (rib) also had to come off on Tuesday night while James Wilson finished the game despite struggling with an ankle knock.
