Duo set for Fleetwood debuts

Fleetwood could hand debuts to new signings Nathan Tyson and Daniel Carr when they entertain Mansfield.

Blackpool forward Tyson and Huddersfield striker Carr both joined Town on one-month loan deals this week and are in contention to play some part.

Defender Stephen Jordan is back in training following a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a groin injury, but he is unlikely to be ready to return.

David Ball was taken off in the first half of the 1-0 defeat to Northampton with a shoulder injury and will sit out for the next four to six weeks, while fellow striker Jamille Matt (ankle) remains sidelined.

Jamie McGuire is suspended for Mansfield but the Stags will be boosted by the return of a trio of players for the trip.

McGuire became the sixth Town player to be sent off this season when he was shown a straight red card midway through the first half of the home defeat to Oxford last weekend and the former Fleetwood midfielder will now begin a three-match ban. On-loan striker James Alabi will complete his three-game suspension on Saturday.

Meanwhile, midfielder Chris Clements (knee) and defenders Martin Riley (Achilles) and Ryan Tafazolli (knee) all came through 90 minutes of a behind-closed-doors match against Huddersfield this week and are vying for places in Paul Cox's starting line-up.

Ross Dyer is back from his loan spell at Hereford and is also available but fellow striker Ben Hutchinson (groin) is still out.
