McKenna returns for Town

Fleetwood welcome back experienced midfielder Paul McKenna against Gillingham.

McKenna completed a two-match suspension following his red card against Plymouth earlier this month as the Cod Army avoided a third consecutive defeat by beating Dagenham 2-1 last weekend.

Defenders Rob Atkinson and David Howell are set to miss out once more due to respective groin and leg problems, while forward Steven Gillespie (hamstring) is back in training even though the Priestfield Stadium clash is expected to come too soon for him.

Two more players building match fitness in the reserves are midfielder Jamie Allen (ankle) and striker Andy Mangan (knee).

Both appeared for Town's second string against Blackpool earlier this week but boss Graham Alexander is unlikely to call upon them at this stage.

Myles Weston returns to the fold for Gillingham's trip to Fleetwood but Andy Frampton will not be available due to suspension.

Forward Weston is now fully fit having missed the last five matches with an ankle problem, providing a massive boost to the Kent club's promotion charge over the remaining six matches of the season as they look to clinch the League Two title.

Midfielder Frampton, however, serves the second game of a three-match ban for his dismissal in the latter stages of the 1-1 draw at Rochdale.

Otherwise, manager Martin Allen boasts a full-strength squad, although he will not be able to call upon the services of on-loan striker Antonio German after he was recalled by parent club Brentford earlier this week.
