Fleetwood have forward options for crucial Crewe clash

Fleetwood manager Steven Pressley has plenty of attacking options at his disposal as he seeks to secure the point needed to almost guarantee Sky Bet League One survival at home to Crewe.

Striker David Ball will again play with seven stitches in a calf wound sustained almost a fortnight ago.

On-loan Bristol City forward Wes Burns is doubtful with a hamstring injury which forced him to miss Monday's 3-1 defeat at Walsall.

Top scorer Bobby Grant may be in line for a recall having been dropped to the bench earlier in the week and although Devante Cole came on to score he looks like having to settle for a place among the substitutes again alongside Shola Ameobi.

Crewe captain Harry Davis could miss the trip to Highbury Stadium after suffering a knee injury in last week's home win over Doncaster.

Davis returned to the starting line-up for the 3-1 victory but manager Steve Davis will make a late check on his namesake ahead of the trip to Lancashire.

The Alex boss, who this week received the backing of the club board for next season's League Two campaign, told the club's website he could make changes to his side but is also mindful that Fleetwood need a positive result to avoid the drop.

Midfielder Brad Inman will be hoping for further involvement after scoring against Doncaster in his second appearance as a substitute following a spell out of the first-team picture.
