Selection poser for Alexander

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander has a selection dilemma for the clash with Sky Bet League Two leaders Chesterfield.

Alexander made seven changes for Tuesday's 4-0 win over Crewe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and he could choose to stick with many of the same players.

Forwards Jon Parkin and David Ball are vying for a place in Town's attack after they both hit the target against the Sky Bet League One side.

Victory on Saturday would see Fleetwood replace the Spireites at the top of the table.

Eoin Doyle will come back into the reckoning for Chesterfield for the trip.

Striker Doyle was one of a handful of players ruled out of the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy win at Mansfield through injury.

The Spireites' defence comprised of four centre-backs on Tuesday night but Ritchie Humphreys is also hopeful of returning to the squad while fellow full-back Drew Talbot is another who could be fit for Saturday.

Strikers Marc Richards (thigh) and Armand Gnanduillet (knee) are still a few weeks away from being available while winger Gary Roberts will serve the final game of a three-match suspension.
