Alexander wants more points

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander could make changes after they suffered successive away defeats.

The Cod Army have dropped to seventh in Sky Bet League One after Saturday's 1-0 loss at Crawley.

They host Barnsley on Wednesday and Stephen Dobbie's and Jamie Proctor's places are under threat after they missed good chances at Crawley.

Alexander told the Blackpool Gazette: "We should be sitting with four extra points. We should have had one from last weekend and three from this one but we haven't."

Barnsley manager Danny Wilson is continuing to monitor the progress of midfield duo James Bailey and Keith Treacy as they continue to push for a return from injury.

Wilson will be hoping for a response to Saturday's 5-3 loss to MK Dons at Oakwell, when the Tykes only salvaged some pride with three late goals after bringing on Paul Digby, Devante Cole and Brad Abbott.

"If you get a result like this, you've got to take it on the chin and hope it makes you better," Wilson told Barnsley Player. "We caused them more problems with the boys that we brought on - they made an impact and they've thrown themselves in the shake-up for the game on Wednesday."

Goalkeeper Ross Turnbull and defender George Smith have yet to feature this season as they continue their rehabilitation from back and foot injuries respectively.
