Cody Army missing Mawene

Fleetwood will be without Youl Mawene when they take on Aldershot in the second round of the FA Cup.

Mawene is set for four weeks on the sidelines after suffering a broken foot, leaving boss Micky Mellon with a vacancy at centre-back.

Rob Atkinson was recalled from his loan spell at Accrington to provide cover, but the 25-year-old is ineligible this weekend having featured for Stanley against AFC Fylde in the first round.

Town's problems in attack remain, with Steven Gillespie and Jon Parkin (both hamstring) sidelined alongside long-term victim Andy Mangan (knee).

Alex Marrow may return in midfield after overcoming the effects of illness, while fellow loanees Curtis Obeng, Barry Ferguson and Tom Barkhuizen are all eligible for cup action.

Dani Lopez and Danny Rose will both miss Aldershot's trip but Craig Reid is set to boost the Hampshire club's attacking options.

On-loan striker Lopez, who has scored each of Aldershot's goals in their last three games, has been refused permission to play by parent club Stevenage.

Midfielder Rose, meanwhile, is on loan from The Cod Army and is ineligible to line up against his employers.

The Shots have only scored three times in five games since their first-round victory over non-league Hendon, with Lopez netting all of those, and boss Dean Holdsworth will be relieved to see the return of leading scorer Reid.

The fit-again marksman has missed the last four games with a knee injury, but is set to step back into the fold as Aldershot bid to make the third round of the FA Cup for the first time since 2007.
