Argyle ease past Fleetwood
Fleetwood's unravelling promotion push took another huge blow with a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of play-off chasing Plymouth.
Reuben Reid pounced to give the Pilgrims the advantage, slamming home Durrell Berry's cross having been denied seconds before by Chris Maxwell in the Fleetwood goal.
Matt Parsons rattled the woodwork for the visitors before the break, with Gareth Evans coming closest for the home side with a timid 20-yard effort which was comfortably held by Jake Cole.
Within minutes of the restart the Pilgrims stretched their lead, Luke Young finding space on the edge of the area and his effort taking a wicked deflection on the way into the net.
Antoni Sarcevic came close to pulling one back when he went one-on-one with Jake Cole but the Argyle goalkeeper was out quickly to deny Fleetwood's flying midfielder.
And Plymouth's victory was sealed with time to spare, Maxime Blanchard diving to head in a third from a poorly defended corner before Conor Hourihane slammed home an unstoppable free-kick from the edge of the box for a fourth.
