Viola rule out Gilardino sale

Fiorentina have warned Marseille off making a move for striker Alberto Gilardino.
La Viola's temporary president Mario Cognini insists the Serie A side have no intention of selling the Italy international despite an initial approach from the French club.
"We have no need to sell. There is no intention to go backwards," said Cognini.
"There is no need to sell our champions and change our project.
"We have what it takes to walk with the best and we are planning for a better future."
