Pizarro set to sign for Fiorentina

Argentine midfielder Guido Pizarro travelled to Italy on Thursday to sign with Serie A side Fiorentina, a source at his current club Lanus confirmed.

"All that's needed is the signature (contract)," the source said, adding that the player travelled with his agent Jorge Cyzterpiller and Lanus officials Daniel Vidal and Emilio Chebel.

He is set to undergo a medical and agree the final terms of the deal.

The 21-year-old has played for Argentine first division side Lanus since 2009.
