Mutu clear over Viola future

Striker Adrian Mutu has ruled out the possibility of leaving Fiorentina this summer.

The Romania international helped the Florence club secure Champions League football for next season this term after scoring 13 goals in Serie A.

But despite reports suggesting he is wanted by a host of Europe's leading clubs, Mutu has pledged his future to La Viola.

"I will stay at Fiorentina," he stated. "I have always been appreciated in Florence and I have never thought about leaving.

"My ambition is to help the team to do well in the Champions League preliminaries as we want to reach the group stage."
