Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is surprised he has been able to sign former Norwich City striker Arturo Lupoli. The Blades completed the signing of Italian Lupoli from Fiorentina until the end of the season on deadline day. The 21-year-old former Arsenal striker had his season-long loan at Norwich cancelled hours earlier.Blackwell told Radio Sheffield: "He was a big favourite at Norwich and I'm surprised we managed to prise him out. He's a box player who can get behind people."He came here three weeks ago with Norwich and did very well. Afterwards I was talking to some Unitedites who told me how well they thought he played so anyone who saw him on that day shouldn't be surprised."I've looked around for striker with a good record. He has pace and loves to run the channels. He's still only 21-years-old and this is a great opportunity for the kid."Blackwell added: "I feel we should be converting more of the chances we're making so I'm on the lookout for someone who can do that. Lupoli has a decent scoring record, he became available and I think he is worth pursuing."
