Gamberini shuns Bayern

The agent of Fiorentina's Italy defender Alessandro Gamberini has dismissed talk of interest in his client from German champions Bayern Munich.

The 26-year-old is currently with the Azzurri squad at Euro 2008 and has no thoughts of making a move when he returns to Florence.

His agent, Francesco Romano, told Tuttomercatoweb.it: "I can say that there has been no contact with Bayern.

"There is nothing to report, but of course it is flattering to hear that such a club are interested in my client.

"To reiterate, Alessandro is happy in Florence and his future is there."
