Fiorentina sign Uruguays Olivera

Fiorentina have signed Uruguay international Ruben Olivera from Lecce in a reported two-million-euro deal.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a three-year deal.

Olivera joined Lecce from Penarol in 2010, making 43 league appearances and scoring four goals.

He first came to Italy in 2003 to join Juventus but over the next six years had loan spells at Atletico Madrid, Sampdoria, Genoa and Penarol, whom he then later joined.

He has played 18 times for Uruguay since 2001.
