Uruguayan international left-back Alvaro Pereira has extended his contract with FC Porto by a year until June 2016, the Portuguese champions announced on Monday.
The 25-year-old arrived in Porto two years ago from Romanian club Cluj.
His contract has a get-out clause worth 30 million euros ($40m).
