Zerara set for Bairns stay

Falkirk boss Eddie May is set to add French midfielder Toufik Zerara to his Bairns squad.

The 23-year-old former Sochaux youngster and Germinal Beerschot schemer has been training with the SPL club for several weeks and just needs international clearance to complete a move to Scotland.

May told the Daily Record: "We are just waiting for international clearance and when that comes through he'll be joining us.

"Everything else is done, he's agreed a short-term deal and hopefully the clearance will come through before the weekend game.

"He's been with us for a couple of weeks and he's done well in that time.

"He gives us another option because the injuries we have at the moment to the likes of Jackie McNamara, Burton O'Brien and Tam Scobbie are long term."
