Yogi happy with Arfield stay

Falkirk boss John Hughes is delighted to have kept Scotland Under-21 midfielder Scott Arfield at the club through the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old is one of the brightest prospects in Scottish football and Hughes had been fearing bids for the talented youngster.

He told the Daily Record: "I've been reading that Scott is one of the bright boys of Scottish football and he is certainly that.

"If anyone had phoned me about Scott, I would have been forced to admit that I love working with him. The way he applies himself is infectious.

"We were hoping we would get through the transfer window without an offer for him, because Scott still has a lot to learn at this club."
