Dean Holden earned the visitors a crucial point when he volleyed into the top corner in the 53rd minute at Fir Park.[LNB]Moments earlier, David Clarkson almost added to his headed opener when he struck the bar from 20 yards.[LNB]Jim O'Brien later curled a shot off the underside of the crossbar, while both Marc Fitzpatrick and Chris Porter headed wide from close range for the hosts.[LNB]Despite extending their unbeaten run to five games, Motherwell missed the chance to move level on points with Hibernian and lost ground on Hearts and Dundee United, who hit late winners to boost their European hopes.[LNB]"I felt we dominated the game," McGhee said. "We played some good stuff, especially considering the way the pitch was cutting up.[LNB]"I'm disappointed not to have won the game but satisfied with the performance.[LNB]"I felt it was a continuation of our previous games; we just didn't take our chances."[LNB]Motherwell also suffered the blow of losing Chris Porter and Stevie Hammell to injury.[LNB]Hammell is almost certainly out of Monday's Homecoming Scottish Cup clash with Inverurie after briefly being knocked unconscious in a challenge with Darren Barr, while Porter is a doubt after spraining his ankle.[LNB]The home fans were angered by some of the challenges from the visitors but McGhee had no complaints.[LNB]"With the conditions, there were a lot of bouncing balls and you have got committed players out there that are going to go for it," he said.[LNB]"That causes a few mistimed tackles but I've not got a problem with that. It was a good, competitive game."[LNB]John Hughes was delighted with his Falkirk side's response to his half-time instructions to play a longer game on the bumpy pitch.[LNB]"I'm delighted with the result," the Bairns boss said.[LNB]"Motherwell were possibly the better team over the 90 minutes. I felt part of the second half, we were good.[LNB]"Our style of play in the first half was wrong. We were trying to play our football but the pitch wasn't conducive to that.[LNB]"We changed it a bit in the second half and tried to get there quicker and hit Stevie Lovell. It changed when Michael Higdon went up there with him.[LNB]"It's a hard place to come especially with the form they are in so it's a good point dug out for us.[LNB]"The boys showed plenty of character in the second half. We got a bit of luck with them hitting the crossbar but, overall, I'm delighted.[LNB]"I felt big Elvis (Steven Pressley) was outstanding and I think that's rubbing off on young (Thomas) Scobbie beside him."[LNB][LNB]
