Stokes earns Wenger praise

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed his delight at the form of on loan Falkirk striker Anthony Stokes.

The 18-year-old Gunners youngster currently leads the way at the top of the SPL goalscoring charts after netting 13 times in 14 games for the Bairns.

Stokes' sensational form has led to talk of a January transfer move by Celtic, but Wenger is keen for the young Irishman to continue his education with the north London club.

"Anthony has made a big step up to the SPL and has done very well - I'm very happy about it," Wenger told The Sun.

"Ideally, I'd like all of our young kids on loan to come back to Arsenal."
