Stirling 0-5 Falkirk: Report

14 November 2010 00:11
Bairns batter Stirling Stirling's dismal season continued as they were put to the sword 5-0 by neighbours Falkirk. The Binos remain rooted to the bottom of Division One, while Falkirk reignited their promotion push in style thanks to a convincing win. Ryan Flynn opened the scoring in the sixth minute when he steered Chris Mitchell's cross into the bottom corner. Mark Stewart then reacted quickest to Mitchell's headed knockdown to double the advantage nine minutes later. Stirling were put under more heavy pressure and Stewart claimed his second before the hour mark, converting Mark Millar's low centre from close range. Stewart then turned provider when he crossed for substitute Kenny Deuchar to turn home with 19 minutes to go. Another measured Stewart delivery from the right wing helped complete the scoring when his cross was finished off by Carl Finnigan.
