Smith: Low crowd is disappointing

The Scottish Cup semi-final match at the 52,000-capacity national stadium is set to be attended by less than 14,000 fans.[LNB]The SFA have been criticised for holding semi-finals at Hampden when there is so little demand for tickets but both Falkirk and Dunfermline were offered the chance to switch the game elsewhere.[LNB]It is thought Tynecastle was one option and Smith said in the Scottish Sun: "Both clubs agreed on the game going ahead at Hampden. It is disappointing to be looking at the possibility of such a low crowd.[LNB]"The figure of less than 14,000 is below the expectation of both clubs when we had the initial talks."[LNB]Tynecastle's capacity is around 18,000 and would arguably have provided a better atmosphere.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
