RANGERS : NEIL ALEXANDER - Had few saves to make despite Falkirk's superior possession. 6/10 STEVEN WHITTAKER - Made some good early runs but was then forced back and sometimes sloppy in possession. 5 SASA PAPAC - The full-back turned in a slightly jaded-looking performance. 5 MADJID BOUGHERRA - Inconsistent with passing but typically solid in defence. 6 DAVID WEIR - Made some good interceptions on what could be his final game for Rangers. 6 STEVEN DAVIS - Started brightly before being affected by the general malaise of his team but still Rangers' best all-round player with some clever touches. 7 BARRY FERGUSON - Struggled to get into the game on his first start for two months. 5 LEE MCCULLOCH - Made a decent start but Falkirk's five-man midfield gave him a difficult afternoon. 5 KYLE LAFFERTY - Put himself about well in left midfield and then up front without making a telling contribution. 6 KRIS BOYD - Lack of mobility up front told as Rangers struggled and was taken off at the interval. 5 KENNY MILLER - Some good runs and touches but was not heavily involved. 6 Substitutes: NACHO NOVO - Half-time substitute took less than 30 seconds to win the game with a superb 35-yard strike. 7 STEVEN NAISMITH - Saw little of the ball after coming on for Miller in the 84th minute. 4 CHRISTIAN DAILLY - Booked 30 seconds after coming on for a three-minute swansong up front after late tackle on Gerard Aafjes. 3 FALKIRK: DANI MALLO - Effective if unconvincing at high balls but was caught off his line at Novo's goal. 5 JACKIE MCNAMARA - Sometimes unsure in possession at first but became more influential. 6 THOMAS SCOBBIE - A vibrant display from the left-back, full of running and composure when needed. 8 DARREN BARR - Caught out by Lafferty early on but good all-round display afterwards including ambitious run and cross to set up chance for Neil McCann. 6 GERARD AAFJES - Fully justified his inclusion ahead of Steven Pressley with a comfortable display in central defence. 7 SCOTT ARFIELD - The right midfielder was always looking to get on the ball and move it on. 7 KEVIN MCBRIDE - Competent display in the anchor role. 6 BURTON O'BRIEN - Showed some good touches and was positive in possession. 7 PATRICK CREGG - A lively display from the central midfielder. 6 NEIL MCCANN - Always a threat but missed the target from 12 yards in the first half. 6 STEVE LOVELL - Made some good runs but was offside too often and lacked sharpness at times, but was unlucky to see a late effort hit the post. 6 Substitutes: MICHAEL HIGDON - Added a new dimension to the Falkirk attack after coming on as part of a 74th-minute triple substitution. 6 CARL FINNIGAN - Chance never fell for him inside the box as Falkirk attacked late on. 4 MARK STEWART - Looked lively on the left side of Falkirk's attack. 5
