Loan goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is keen to extend his stay with Falkirk into next season, after impressing with the SPL outfit.

Twenty-year-old Schmeichel joined the Bairns in the January transfer window from Manchester City and clearly enjoyed his time with Falkirk.

He said: "The manager at Falkirk has said he'd like to keep me, but there's nothing anyone can do about it until we find out the position at Manchester City.

"I've been so lucky that John Hughes and Brian Rice have shown faith in such a young keeper to come up and play in the SPL and the experience has been invaluable."

Schmeichel has been on the books of the Citizens since the summer of 2003, but has yet to make his senior debut for the Eastlands club.
