McNamara content with Bairns

Veteran midfielder Jackie McNamara has admitted that his summer move to Falkirk has reignited his passion for the game, following a difficult season with Aberdeen.

The 35-year-old former Scotland international has been a key figure for the Bairns this term and is clearly enjoying his football once again.

He told the Daily Record: "I'm enjoying it again. That's the most important thing for me.

"After last year the important thing was to move somewhere to enjoy my football. Now I'm concentrating on playing and staying fit.

"I have a lot to thank John Hughes for. Since he came in for me, he has been fantastic.

"I enjoy coming in every morning and that is a big plus for me. I appreciate it a bit more and I enjoy playing, training and working with the manager."
