The 35-year-old defender had been expected to hang up his playing boots when his contract expires next summer. However, Bairns manager Eddie May is ready to offer the former Celtic ace, who has started all six SPL matches this term, a new deal. McNamara is against committing one way or another to playing on, although if he remains fit and enjoying his football he could be persuaded to pen fresh terms. "I'll not rush and make any statements now," explained McNamara. "I managed to play something like 37 games last season. "If I can get a good number of games again I'll see how I feel at the end of the season in terms of carrying on."
