'Lucky' Olejnik savours saves

With the game at the Falkirk Stadium goalless and heading towards the break, Alex MacDonald tripped Danny Fox inside the box to give McGeady the chance to fire the visitors ahead.[LNB]However, Austria Under-21 cap Olejnik saved the Hoops midfielder's first attempt then, as he lay on the round, flicked a leg up to knock McGeady's second effort from the rebound over the bar.[LNB]Olejnik modestly claimed his saves were down to luck but is hoping the confidence taken from the performance will help Falkirk and under-fire May begin their climb off the bottom of the Scottish Premier League table, where they remain with five points from 11 games.[LNB]"I owed the boys one, especially after last week (against St Johnstone)," said Olejnik.[LNB]"My performances this season have been a little bit indifferent.[LNB]"I also owe a lot to the manager who kept faith with me all along.[LNB]"But penalties are all about luck. The players said he went the same way against Rangers but I didn't know that.[LNB]"It was his body shape, and luck - and that's all penalties are in the end.[LNB]"I also got pretty lucky with the rebound, he didn't quite catch it right."[LNB]Olejnik's double-save looked to have been in vain when Gary Caldwell headed Celtic in front after the break.[LNB]However, Scott Arfield replied from the penalty spot before Pedro Moutinho volleyed Falkirk into a surprise lead.[LNB]Scott McDonald came off the bench to put Celtic ahead with a quick-fire double but Bairns substitute Mark Stewart grabbed a dramatic late equaliser.[LNB]Although believing his own performance was due to good fortune, Olejnik felt the Bairns deserved to share the spoils.[LNB]"I didn't think it was over when we went 3-2 down," he added.[LNB]"We showed spirit and commitment coming back and the boys deserved the point.[LNB]"It showed big character to come back, especially against a team like Celtic.[LNB]"If you look at all the games this season, we have never been out of them.[LNB]"It is always the second half which has let us down.[LNB]"But on Sunday it just felt like our day, if I'm being honest."[LNB]Olejnik admits the international break may not have come at the right time for the Bairns, who are still seeking their first SPL win.[LNB]"Maybe it's not a good thing that we don't have a game next week," he said.[LNB]"It took us long enough to produce that type of performance but we did it against Celtic.[LNB]"We have done it in training, we just haven't managed to do when we have crossed the white line.[LNB]"We have Hamilton next, which is the now a big game.[LNB]"We are right down the bottom, we have nothing to lose so we can go out all guns blazing and hopefully we can get three points."[LNB][LNB]
