Lovell fears relegation battle

Falkirk forward Steve Lovell has admitted that the Bairns could face a battle to avoid relegation in the second half of the season.

John Hughes' side are only three points above rock-bottom Hamilton after losing 2-1 to Aberdeen and former Dons striker Lovell fears the worst.

He said: "We haven't gone on a run yet which would help push us up the league. The more games we lose the harder it's going to be for us. I know how it can be from my time at Dundee.

"At one point we were ten points off the bottom and we thought we couldn't be caught, but it happened.

"If you keep losing games then you'll find yourself down there. We need to make sure we start picking up points.

"I don't have the same feeling this time round, but I know how easy it is to ignore it. You think you're better than the drop, but it can happen if you don't pick up the points."
