Lovell wants day to remember

Lovell was in the Dundee team that lost 1-0 to Rangers at Hampden in the 2003 final and he returns to the national stadium to face the Ibrox side again on Saturday. The 28-year-old Englishman, who joined Falkirk on a free from Aberdeen last summer, is hopeful of a memorable victory this time around. "I played in the final for Dundee - I just can't remember it that well," he said. "Obviously, we lost and maybe it would have been different if we had won but I'm looking to enjoy it more this time. "This time, I'm going in to the day differently. "I am going to remember everything that's happening on the journey, look at the people around me and just remember the feeling. "I have a fairly good scoring record against Rangers and I look to score in every game but it's about the team performance. "Rangers are more used to playing in high-profile games but the manager said in a team meeting that when you look back at our previous meetings this season, we had the majority of the game. "But we weren't able to get a bit of luck or put the ball away. "It was a huge weight off our shoulders last week when we avoided relegation; the mood would have been different going down to Sunderland for our preparations had we not. "We have one game left this season and we are going in to it really confident."
