    Hughes wants more spirit

    21 Nov 2006 - 11:49:23

Falkirk manager John Hughes has called on his side to be more resolute after watching the Bairns lose 2-1 to Kilmarnock.

On-loan Anthony Stokes had given Hughes' side a first-half lead with his 11th goal in seven games but Killie hit back to win thanks to efforts by Garry Hay and a Stephen O'Donnell own goal.

"Our football is good and we're creating chances but we need to stick together and become more resolute, showing greater character and spirit," said the Falkirk boss.

"Both teams played some good stuff, but I'm just disappointed we've taken nothing from the game.

"The first goal we lost was different. I thought we could have defended it better, but that's something we need to look at."
