Falkirk manager John Hughes felt that a lack of belief had cost his side dear in their 2-0 defeat at Rangers.
Hughes, who had to watch the game from the stands, felt his side showed up well at Ibrox, but failed to make the most of a lot of possession.
He said: "We passed the ball quite well and ball retention was good, but we were far too slow and we didn't have the belief to think that we could score a goal.
"That was a little bit disappointing. No matter where I go, I want my team to play football and get at teams.
"That's the style I like playing and I'm just disappointed that we didn't have that cutting edge.
"It's my job now to make them better players and give them that belief."
