Hughes targets top-six finish

Falkirk manager John Hughes is confident his side can hold on to a top-six place after the Bairns ground out a 1-0 win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Hughes' side currently occupy sixth place in the SPL table but have tough games to look forward to later this month.

Hughes admitted: "The game wasn't exactly a spectacle. Both sides were so evenly matched throughout the game.

"But the win takes us into the top six and that's where we need to be.

"Our aim is to stay there now. We've got tough matches with Hearts and Aberdeen to come, but I'm confident we can hang on."
