Hughes hopes for keeper deal

Falkirk boss John Hughes is hoping to be able to bring a new goalkeeper to the club this month.

The Bairns have lost the services of Scott Flinders after he returned to Crystal Palace at the end of his six-month loan, with Hughes wanting competition for Robert Olejnik.

Hughes, however, is aware that financial constraints could scupper his plans.

He told the Daily Record: "I certainly need an experienced goalie to fight with Robert Olejnik and hopefully they'll give me the nod.

"They're a fantastic board, but I'm aware of the climate we're working in."
