Falkirk midfielder Alan Gow, who scored in the 2-1 defeat at Aberdeen, is close to signing a new deal with the club.
The 24-year-old former Airdrie United star had been linked with a move to Spanish side Levante in next month's transfer window, but now looks set to stay with John Hughes' side.
Team-mate Jack Ross is delighted with the development, telling the Daily Record: "Alan is just one of a number of players who are exciting the Falkirk fans. This is a terrific bunch of guys to play and train with.
"Everybody here recognises this is as good and exciting a squad of players as the club has had in a long time.
"The more we can tie up players like Alan the better, and if he signs his new deal that will be a great boost for us when you consider the form he is in."
