Bairns wait on Taiwo

Falkirk will give Tom Taiwo as long as possible to prove his fitness ahead of kick-off against visitors Raith.

The midfielder suffered a dead leg at Morton last Saturday but his condition has improved and he could be involved.

A move to bring former Scotland striker Lee Miller back to the club is not expected to be completed in time.

Bairns boss Peter Houston said: "We had to be content with a point from our game at Morton, however it is a game that we could have won.

"Hopefully we can get the three points from this one to make up for that."

Rovers are without Craig Barr and Lewis Vaughan due to knee injuries.

Recently appointed manager Ray McKinnon said: "I took Brechin to Falkirk last season in a Scottish Cup tie and gave them a tough afternoon.

"They were just too strong on the day and they hen showed their strength as they made it all the way to the final.

"We are going there on the back of a 3-0 win over Livingston, however that result was a bit false. We know that we will have to play even better than we did in that game to bring something home with us."
