Loy joy for Bairns?

Falkirk are hoping top goalscorer Rory Loy can shake off a knock to lead the Bairns' attack against Queen of the South, who lead 2-1 after the first leg of their play-off to reach the Scottish Premiership.

Thomas Grant misses out through illness, while technical director Alex Smith is wary of a Dumfries side that will be out to kill the tie .

Smith said: "Queen's will come here well-organised and looking to get a goal in front to put us really up against things. We have to guard against that and ensure that we find a way to be in front at the end of the 90 minutes.

"Having Rory back would help us do that."

Queen of the South are without banned defender Chris Mitchell and injured duo Stephen McKenna (hip) and Gavin Reilly (ankle).

Michael Paton is a doubt, with manager Jim McIntyre looking for his men to go out and win against the Bairns.

McIntyre said: "We plan to attack Falkirk as there is no point in sitting in trying to hold a one-goal lead. We have attacked teams all season and if we decided to change our approach just because we have a one goal lead then we would be asking for trouble.

"We will look to add to our lead and we have the players that can do that."
