Bairns add Beck to squad

It is case of one in and one out at new league leaders Falkirk ahead of the visit of Morton.

The Bairns have sold midfielder Jay Fulton to English Premier League side Swansea but they have signed Carlisle striker Mark Beck on loan. Only Thomas Grant is missing through illness.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "It was a terrific result to beat Dundee and move to the top of the table but the hard work really starts now. Staying top is often more difficult than getting top.

"Morton have had a positive reaction after appointing Kenny Shiels so this is not what you could call a typical top versus bottom game."

Morton have injury doubts over David Robertson and Gary O'Connor after both players picked up knocks in Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Queen of the South.

The duo face fitness tests to determine if they join shoulder injury victim David O'Brien in missing out. On-loan Celtic defender Stuart Findlay is available after completing a suspension.

Shiels said: "We have tightened up a lot in recent games but we need to increase our goal threat. Falkirk are doing well just now but if we can turn possession into goals then we have a chance."
