Bairns look to consolidate in second place without teenage striker O'Hara

Falkirk will be without striker Kevin O'Hara, Peter Grant and Connor McGrandles for their home game against Livingston.

O'Hara is on international duty with Scotland Under-19s, while Grant (knee) and McGrandles (broken leg) remain sidelined through injury.

A win would lift the Bairns, who beat Rangers 3-2 last week, nine points clear of Hibernian in second place.

Manager Peter Houston said: "This game is just as important as the Rangers one as the prize on offer of three points is the same. In some ways this game is a bit trickier as it will not have the same atmosphere.

"We will treat Livingston with the same respect we showed to Rangers as they have players that can hurt you if you give them any encouragement."

Livingston welcome back Jackson Longridge from suspension as they look to pull to within two points of Dumbarton in the race to avoid the relegation play-offs and Gary Glen is an injury doubt.

Manager David Hopkin said: "It was disappointing to lose to St Mirren last weekend as we had taken seven points from the three games before that.

"With Dumbarton not playing we have the chance to close the gap on them if we can get back to winning ways.

"The last time we played Falkirk we came back from a goal down to get a point and we will need that battling spirit again."
