Malin blow for Forfar

Forfar are without midfielder Gavin Malin against visitors Dunfermline.

Atheltic's appeal against Malin's dismissal in last Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Airdrie was dismissed by the Scottish Football Association so he will miss out.

Stephen Husband, who joined Forfar last summer from the Pars will take Malin's place, with striker Dale Hilson in line for a recall to the starting line-up as well.

Manager Dick Campbell said: "This is a massive game as we have the chance to open up a nine-point gap on Dunfermline.

"They looked to have turned the corner results wise recently, however, I am sure that the players here will let them know that they will have to contest every ball."

Dunfermline will include Lewis Allan in their squad after the striker joined on loan from Hibs, with Gregor Buchanan available to manager John Potter after recovering from a head injury.

Ryan Williamson could also return after a dislocated knee problem, but Ryan Wallace continues to be sidelined due to a pelvic injury.

Potter said: "We are winning games again and are back in the top four which is progress, though our performances could be better. If we are to win at Station Park against a strong Forfar side then we need to raise our game.

"They have experience and they will hurt us if we are not on top of our game."
