Falkirk demanding ticket equality

The Bairns took just 7,000 fans to Hampden for Sunday's semi-final against Dunfermline but believe they could bring 25,000 to the May 30 showpiece.[LNB]The SFA will meet both finalists on Tuesday to discuss their allocations at the 52,000-capacity national stadium.[LNB]They are keen to avoid a repeat of the poor attendance at both semi-finals and the best chance of ensuring that appears to be giving the lion's share of tickets to Rangers.[LNB]But Falkirk will argue they deserve equal billing.[LNB]Managing director George Craig told the club's official website: "This is a massive occasion for the club and a day for the entire district to enjoy.[LNB]"We are sure getting to the final has given everyone a big lift; they have a smile on their faces and a spring in their step.[LNB]"So we want them all to share in out success when we return to Hampden and they can show they are proud to be Falkirk fans.[LNB]"On Saturday, May 30, there will be 11 men against 11 on the pitch and, to make it a level playing field, we feel there should be 25,000 fans backing each team as well.[LNB]"Therefore, we will meet with the SFA next week and state our case for a 50/50 split of the ticket allocation."[LNB]The SFA claim they would consider giving Falkirk a larger share of tickets if they can demonstrate a demand for them.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
